Development of a 3-D model involves collecting, processing and combining subsurface geophysical datasets in multi-directions. The intent is to obtain the most complete image of the subsurface in terms of contaminant zones as well as underground structures and mineral systems. Planar conductivity measurements (obtained through EM surveys) are coupled with vertical conductivity values (obtained through ERT surveys) to produce a 3-D model which can then be used to more accurately estimate the volume of impacted regions.
Contaminant Volume Estimation:
Identify region of interest.
Collect, process and map planar conductivity data.
Determine optimal location for multiple ERT lines.
Collect, process and map vertical conductivity data.
